Nonlinear Aircraft Control lectures

A series of lectures on Nonlinear Aircraft Control and Nonlinear Dynamic Inversion (NDI) were built for the forthcoming course at ITPS. The purpose is to introduce the students to control techniques like gainscheduling, NDI, backstepping, robust control, adaptive control and incremental control and practically understand their use in aircraft. Some math is involved especially when presenting examples of the Dynamic Inversion in linear and nonlinear systems.

Most of this work took place at my balcony on the island of Lefkada, admiring the view to the Ionian sea. Below a capture of it during the magic hour *.

Magic hour: In cinematography magic hour is the first and last hour of sunlight during the day. The hour that the transition between day and night takes place. Usually it is considered the time “between sundown and darkness”, when the Sun is below the horizon.
